What I did which helped me overcome this!<\/p>\n<p>Well, yesterday I posted on my social media &amp; I saw, it&#8217;s not just me but most of people are facing and it needs to be addressed;<\/p>\n<h2>Let&#8217;s check the post 1st (you can skip to next heading if you already read);<\/h2>\n<div class=\"xdj266r x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs x126k92a\">\n<blockquote>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Slowly I am coming out of &#8220;Multi Tasking&#8221; myth!<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Yes, you read it right, multi tasking is a myth or say it&#8217;s another term could be used for procrastination.<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Example: 120 tabs are open in my browser, I am working on 1 tab, but by mistake I click on someother tab and next important task opens up, now I started working on that one, instead of finishing the 1st 1.<\/span><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">What happened was, I lost the track of time &amp; end up doing nothing but delaying the tasks.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 dir=\"auto\">Now let&#8217;s talk what I did to over come this;<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Understand the difference between Urgent &amp; Important<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Prioritize tasks<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Create a to do list<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Use timer to finish tasks<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Remove distractions<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Manage time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Understand the difference between Urgent &amp; Important:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Urgent Tasks:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"2:5-2:28\">Need to be done NOW!<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"3:5-3:63\">Have deadlines or cause immediate problems if not done.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"4:5-5:0\">Example: Fixing a flat tire so you can get to work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"7:1-7:280\">\n<h4 data-sourcepos=\"7:3-7:280\"><strong>Important Tasks:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"7:5-7:57\">Contribute to your long-term goals and happiness.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"8:5-8:86\">Don&#8217;t always have deadlines, but neglecting them can hurt you in the long run.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"9:5-9:66\">Example: Working on a project that will get you a promotion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Remember;<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Tasks which can be done in less than 3-5 minutes, do it right away, do not put any reminder or delay it<\/li>\n<li>Tasks which are important but not urgent, put them in to do list, put a deadline to them<\/li>\n<li>Keep note of everything you do<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Prioritize tasks:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"5:1-6:0\">\n<p data-sourcepos=\"5:4-5:153\">Write down EVERYTHING you need to do.<br \/>\nDon&#8217;t worry about order, just get it all out on paper (or your favorite digital to-do list app).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"7:1-9:0\">\n<p data-sourcepos=\"7:4-7:68\"><strong>Urgency vs. Importance:<\/strong><br \/>\nReview each task and ask yourself:<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Is it\u00a0<\/span><strong style=\"font-size: 16px;\">urgent<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0(needs to be done right away) or\u00a0<\/span><strong style=\"font-size: 16px;\">important<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0(contributes to long-term goals)?<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"10:1-15:0\">\n<p data-sourcepos=\"10:4-10:160\"><strong>Follow Eisenhower Matrix:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"10:1-15:0\">\n<p data-sourcepos=\"10:4-10:160\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4398\" src=\"https:\/\/imrannadir.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Follow-Eisenhower-Matrix-300x225.png\" alt=\"Follow Eisenhower Matrix\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/imrannadir.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Follow-Eisenhower-Matrix-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/imrannadir.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Follow-Eisenhower-Matrix-768x576.png 768w, https:\/\/imrannadir.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Follow-Eisenhower-Matrix.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"16:1-17:0\">\n<p data-sourcepos=\"16:4-16:142\"><strong>Tackle Your List:<\/strong><br \/>\nComplete the &#8220;Do First&#8221; tasks first. Schedule time for the &#8220;Schedule&#8221; tasks.
