How to become more productive as Digital Marketer?

There is so much content and loads of updates, a lot of people talking about the same topic in different way on internet.
In this noise of content it is quite difficult to stay productive, so let me share how to become more productive as Digital Marketer in this blog.

As a Digital Marketer here is the list of things I would do;

  • Stop watching money making videos
    • Money making videos are the ones which tells you to do this & that to earn 1000s of dollars, they are just distractions nothing else, as real money is in learning skills not in shortcuts.
  • Divide Long term goals to short term and create a roadmap on how to achieve those goals, what things to achieve at what time
  • If you have some task which may take less than 1 or 5 minutes, do it right away. Do not wait or put that on hold as you doing nothing but procrastinating and making a burden on yourself.
  • Write about everything you do or learn. Here is how I do;
    • I have created this website (imrannadir.com) where I put everything I do or know
    • Publish weekly post on my newsletter (FREE)
  • Social Media is powerful and noisy, so follow only people who are subject matter experts on LinkedIn, Youtube & Instagram
    – LinkedIn is all professional, people share what they think is important and upcoming changes
    – Youtube is all about creating journey & sharing information in video format, here people will teach you what they know
    – Instagram is more of lifestyle platform, here people post about their daily life, this will help you know them better personally
  • Everything you see on internet is not for you. So, it’s okay if you dont know the latest tiktok trends
  • Remember No News is Good News. I don’t even remember, when was the last time I watched any news, your focus & productivity will increase by just stop following news
  • Google Sheets are is powerful tool and under rated, use it to create a Sheets where you update everything
    • Here is what I do; I have created multiple templates including Social Media Audit, Social Media Content Calendar, SEO & Google ADs template and I use my pre made templates for every project
    • Example; I am doing 4 projects (Google Ads, LinkedIn ADs, SEO & Social Media Management), I use templates and this increases my productivity & help me take better decisions in my digital marketing job.
  • Keep record of everything, whatever you do just record, sometimes we think we will remember but we forget stuff so record.
  • Create systems (If you are doing same thing over and over again, make a process which does the repetitive tasks automatically “will discuss this in details in someother blog/video)
    • Example: If I am doing Google or SEO audit, I have pre made template & I use it, so it saves me putting same audit checklist again & again)
    • If I am managing social media, I integrate all social media with Canva & whenever I design post I schedule it from canva, I do not have to go to each platform every time which saves time
    • So automate the repetitive tasks.
